In previous posts, I mentioned that I took a trip to Seville last summer for a spot of sun, sangria and scenery. After the Plaza de España and the Alcázar of Seville, we decided to take a day trip to Córdoba. The next day or two were spent wandering around the city and visiting a number of highlights – including the Metropol Parasol.

Next up, we visited Seville’s (absolutely huge) cathedral, which sits just behind the palace. Thankfully the queue was relatively short, and we were soon able to enter the building.

Apart from the cathedral, there are also a number of museums to browse, parks to sit in and enjoy the weather, as well as Roman features to explore and of course, the old city walls to walk around.

All in all, Seville has so much to do and see that I would recommend spending at least 7 days in the region, particularly if you want to spend some of that time relaxing outside of the usual tourist activities!
Have you been to Seville and if so, what do you recommend seeing?
