Do you love to dress your home for Autumn? It’s my favourite time of the year. The leaves are changing colours, there’s a chill in the air and in October we adorn windowsills and doorsteps with pumpkins. Let’s not forget the spiced lattes!

You might not want to decorate your home at this time of year due to the potential cost, especially as Christmas is just around the corner, however you don’t have to spend lots of money to bring a bit of Autumn flavour to your house.

If you’re not busy baking pumpkin goodies, why not make some super simple and quick pumpkin decorations using some clothesline, hot glue and raffia? It takes mere minutes to knock up these super adorable pumpkin decorations so you can celebrate harvest, Autumn and Halloween all at once!

Supplies:

  • Dollar Tree Pineapple décor
  • A length of clothesline
  • A Hot glue gun
  • A pair of Scissors
  • A cork from a wine bottle
  • Raffia

Instructions:

Unwrap the gold tinsel from around the pineapple decor and pop off the top section.

Add a thin line of hot glue along the bottom edge of the pineapple and place the clothesline on top. Repeat this process, wrapping the pineapple shape in clothesline until you reach the top.

At the top of the pineapple shape, add some hot glue to the inner side of the clothesline to form the top section. Make sure to leave enough space for the wine cork to fit.

Add a little bit of hot glue to the cork to make sure that it securely stays inside the top of the pumpkin.

Take 2 pieces of raffia and tie them into a bow around the wine cork at the top to complete your farmhouse style pumpkin decor.

For some extra pizazz why not use spray paint to colour the clothesline? From bright orange to a more elegant metallic – whatever best suits your interior style.
